National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Bharath College of Science & Management plays a vital role in fostering social responsibility, leadership, and civic consciousness among students. The programme encourages young minds to actively participate in nation-building activities through community service and social engagement.

“NOT ME BUT YOU”

The motto reflects the spirit of democratic living and emphasizes selfless service. It highlights the importance of empathy, mutual respect, and understanding the perspectives of others. NSS instills in students a strong sense of social responsibility and commitment to the welfare of fellow human beings.

Symbol of NSS

The symbol of NSS is inspired by the Rath Wheel of the Konark Sun Temple, Odisha.

The wheel represents movement, continuity, and change, symbolizing the constant effort of NSS volunteers toward social transformation, progress, and national development. It signifies the dynamic role of youth in shaping a better society.

NSS Volunteers

Every NSS volunteer is expected to understand and uphold their duties and responsibilities with sincerity and dedication. Volunteers are trained to be courteous, patient, disciplined, and service-oriented, always ready to contribute to community welfare.

To achieve the objectives of the National Service Scheme, NSS volunteers actively engage in the following thrust areas:
