Bharath College of Science & Management (Autonomous), Thanjavur, has established various statutory and institutional committees to ensure effective governance, academic quality, student welfare, and a safe, inclusive campus environment. These committees function in accordance with regulatory guidelines and institutional policies, supporting transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell)

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) plays a central role in maintaining and enhancing academic and administrative quality across the institution. It develops quality benchmarks, monitors academic processes, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.

IQAC supports curriculum development, teaching–learning innovation, faculty development, research initiatives, and institutional best practices, ensuring alignment with national quality frameworks and accreditation standards.

Anti-Ragging Committee

The Anti-Ragging Committee is constituted to prevent, prohibit, and address incidents of ragging in any form. The institution maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging and ensures strict enforcement of anti-ragging regulations.

The committee works proactively to create awareness, monitor student conduct, and provide a safe and respectful learning environment for all students, particularly fresh entrants.

Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

The Internal Complaints Committee is established to address complaints related to sexual harassment and ensure a safe, dignified, and respectful campus environment. The committee functions in accordance with statutory provisions and institutional policies.

It provides a confidential, impartial, and fair mechanism for grievance redressal, safeguarding the rights and well-being of students and staff.

Grievance Redressal Cell

The Grievance Redressal Cell offers a structured platform for students to raise academic, administrative, or personal grievances. The cell ensures that grievances are addressed promptly, fairly, and transparently.

By encouraging open communication and accountability, the Grievance Redressal Cell strengthens trust between students and the institution.

Discipline Committee

The Discipline Committee is responsible for maintaining decorum, ethical conduct, and institutional discipline within the campus. It ensures adherence to the student code of conduct and promotes a culture of respect, responsibility, and integrity.

The committee adopts corrective and reformative approaches, focusing on guidance and improvement rather than punitive measures.

Scholarship Committee

The Scholarship Committee facilitates the identification, verification, and processing of scholarships and financial assistance schemes. It guides eligible students in accessing government, institutional, and merit-based scholarships.

The committee ensures transparency, timely support, and equitable distribution of financial aid to promote inclusive education.

Student Welfare Committee

The Student Welfare Committee focuses on the holistic development and well-being of students. It addresses student needs related to academic support, health, safety, and personal development.

Through its initiatives, the committee fosters a supportive campus environment that enhances student satisfaction and engagement.

Women Empowerment Cell

The Women Empowerment Cell works towards promoting gender equity, safety, and empowerment within the institution. It organizes awareness programmes, counselling sessions, and capacity-building initiatives for women students and staff.

The cell aims to create an inclusive campus culture that encourages confidence, leadership, and equal opportunities for all.
