YRC – Youth Red Cross
The Youth Red Cross (YRC) unit of Bharath College of Science & Management functions with the objective of promoting humanitarian values, health awareness, social service, and leadership among students. The unit actively engages students in programmes that foster compassion, discipline, and community responsibility.
District Level Orientation Programme
- The Youth Red Cross Programme Officer, along with eight YRC volunteers, participated in a one-day District Level Orientation Programme held at the Youth Red Cross Building, Thanjavur.
- The programme provided orientation on YRC principles, health awareness initiatives, humanitarian services, and student volunteer responsibilities, strengthening the operational understanding and leadership skills of participants.
District Level Competition & Achievement
- YRC volunteers actively participated in a District Level Competition on the theme “How to Use Social Networking Sites for Social Activities”, conducted at Annai Velankanni Arts College, Thanjavur.
- The volunteers showcased their innovative ideas on utilizing digital platforms for social awareness and community engagement and successfully won prizes, bringing recognition to the institution.
