REPORT

Village adoption programme on Advanced Activity Based Learning for panchayat union elementary school of village in thulukkanpatti was conducted by the Department of Information Technology and Department of Mathematics for the academic year 2023-2024.Totally 28 students participated in the program.

Thulukkanpatti is a small Village/hamlet in Thanjavur Block in Thanjavur District of Tamil Nadu State, India. It comes under Inathukanpatti Panchayath. It is located three kilometers away from Bharath College of Science and Management.

The main objective behind this programme was to create Advanced Activity Based Learning for panchayat union elementary school students. A total no of 33 students were there in the school (class I to V std). All class students were divided into some groups and activities are assigned to them. Our staff and students engaging them with Activity Based Learning like playing a subject related puzzles, games, role play, storytelling, demonstrations using real objects. Children are involved in doing the activities designed and thus engage in their own learning process. Finally, as a token of appreciation to the children, we gave them pencil, rubber, biscuits on behalf of our college.

The main focus of this program is to ensures better participation of kids in the learning process, leads to deeper learning and understanding, to builds team spirit and social skills, leads to better knowledge retention.

 At the end of the event, we thanked our Principal & the Heads of the village who took   part in this programme, finally the programme was completed with pleasure.
